The Business Clean Air Taskforce (BCAT) is a leadership group bringing together progressive companies committed to tackling air pollution, in a quest to help the transition to a decarbonised world with cleaner air.
BCAT offers members a safe space in which to discuss practical challenges in transitioning to a world with cleaner air, as well as offering the opportunity to explore innovative collaborations or partnerships with fellow members.
As a business group concerned about air pollution - BCAT will raise awareness of businesses’ specific responsibilities to address air pollution and highlight effective solutions and ways businesses can address the problem.
As a leadership group concerned about air pollution – BCAT will lead by example, offering useful insights on how they are realising Business for Clean Air, a set of principles formative BCAT members co-developed with Global Action Plan in 2020.
By contributing insights, sharing knowledge and highlighting how they have overcome challenges, BCAT members demonstrate how leading corporate pioneers are helping to clean the air, which benefits not only their business but also wider society.
BCAT is convened by Global Action Plan in partnership with the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (Defra) to support action against the Clean Air Strategy and drive improvements in air quality.
