As your local councillor, the health and wellbeing of our community is of the utmost importance to me. That’s why this #CleanAirDay, I’ve committed to being a @Global Action Plan Clean Air Champion.

Air pollution affects everyone’s health and is linked to a range of health problems throughout our lives including premature birth, childhood asthma, heart and lung disease, diabetes and strokes.

Cleaning up dirty air will not only improve our health, but it can also boost our local economy too. Breathing in cleaner air improves our productivity, reduces sick days and helps alleviate the burden on our NHS.

Many of the solutions that will deliver cleaner air will also help us cut carbon emissions and protect our natural environment, making our community a cleaner, greener place to live.

[Insert any specific details about how air pollution impacts your community and actions you plan to take to improve air quality – use your Welcome Pack for ideas.]

I look forward to working with @Global Action Plan and fellow Clean Air Champions to improve air quality for everyone.

Clean Air Day is brought to you by Global Action Plan and happens thanks to the help of our valued partners.
